Competencies
  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT or relevant fields with at least 3 years of experience developing web applications and/or working as part of a web development team.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of web development LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP), with particular emphasis on the Drupal and Wordpress platforms.
  • Strong web development knowledge of related web skills in standards complaint HTML 5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, browser technology and other web standards.
  • Knowledge of web development on cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services), REST, JSON, XML, Web Services and object oriented techniques.
  • Familiarity with social media, accessibility requirements, site functionality, interaction, information architecture and usability.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and web analytics would be hugely advantageous.
  • Hands-on, mobile application software development (native and/or web) for the iOS, Android and other mobile platforms would be advantageous.
  • Experience with implementation and customisation of SharePoint-based solutions, SharePoint-based workflows and development of custom web parts would be advantageous.
  • Strong informational design skills and ability to think both strategically and creatively.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
 
ResponsibiliTies
  • Plan, develop and maintain web applications.
  • Plan, manage and deploy content management tools, which include developing reusable templates, modules, components.
  • Administer the day-to-day web applications operations, which include monitoring and improving their performance.
  • Undertake web related matters (e.g. user interface and navigation design of web services and applications).
  • Evaluate new web technologies and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and maintain mobile applications (native and/or web).
