Our client, is actively searching for a Senior Manager, Intellectual Property to join their team.

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience: 

• Relevant Masters or equivalent degree in Science/Technology from a recognized University
• Extensive work experience of at least 5 years in handling R&D projects, IP and contractual matters
• Familiar with government agencies and assistance schemes
• Enjoy working closely with industry, faculty and students in a collaborative environment
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as a strong team player
• Able to handle stress and multi-task, with good oral, communication and interpersonal skills

The responsibilities of this role encompasses:

• Reports to the Deputy Director, Enterprise & Innovation Hub (E&I Hub).
• He/she is responsible for supporting E&I Hub’s project and IP Management needs.
• Liaise with industry partners and the academic staff to foster research collaborations
• Liaise with industry partners, university’s  academic staff and legal counsel on Non-Disclosure, Research Collaboration, IP Licensing and Assignment Agreements
• Liaise with industry partners, university’s academic staff and/or legal counsel on IP protection and due diligence
• Collate and maintain a repository of IP assets arising from projects
• Maintain and update university’s IP policy
• Compile and monitor project progress, outcomes, statistics and KPIs for reporting to stakeholders
• Collect and track all monies due to university arising from IP licensing and assignments
• Plan, assist and execute events and activities organised by E&I Hub and external technology/trade fairs
