Competencies

ResponsibiliTies
  • To champion the development of the Office of Research Grant Management and Institutional Review Board modules for the Integrated Research Information System (IRIS)
  • Facilitate research growth through oversight of the institute internal research grant call, including the implementation of policies and strategies to incentivize faculty participation in research.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive the research vision and outcome specifics.
  • Assist in policy-making and planning activities that will help strengthen the research capacity and better position our institute for the conduct of meaningful impact driven research.
  • Where called upon, help manage the institutional review board and assist in establishing policies, frameworks and guidelines for the management of the institute's research.
  • Support faculty in their preparation of grant applications, assist in research administration, and help coordinate with our external grant agencies on research funding and policy matters, and support the institute through discipline (school) driven, and cluster based research planning and strategy.
 
Experience
  • Degree with 8 to 10 years of experience.
