In order to be successful for this role, the candidate must possess the following competencies and experience:

• Masters or PhD in the relevant fields especially in Engineering or Architecture
• With at least 8 to 10 years of good industry experience coupled with an excellent industrial network.
• Possesses excellent inter-personal, communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in dealing with intellectual properties and NDA and multi-party negotiation.
• Ability to work in a team environment and multiple parties in scoping projects and integrating them.

The roles and responsibilities of this role include:

• To manage the entire capstone project from inception to implementation.
• Need to work with industry, faculty and students to ensure that industry sponsored projects are brought to the university and students supervised by faculty are able to work with the industry on innovative projects under the themes of the various faculties. 
• A dynamic individual with excellent organisational skills, coupled with good industry contacts, is essential for this position to succeed.
• Require to promote Capstone to companies that have yet to come onboard to support the Capstone programme.
• Require to establish good working relationship with the companies to bring in projects and sponsorships.
• Require to consult Capstone Management Committee in scoping projects and to provide secretarial support to the Capstone Management Committee.
• Need to work with faculty in keeping track of students’ progress, work with companies for sponsorship, IP and NDA.
• Need to manage Capstone budget and showcase Capstone projects to stakeholders.
