Competencies |
The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
- Diploma in Molecular biology/ Biochemistry or Chemistry
- Excellent organizational skill and attention to detail.

Our client, is actively searching for a Manufacturing Team Leader to join their team.
This role is a constructive step forward for anyone looking for excitement and challenges at work.
The responsibilities of this role encompasses:
- Provide effective leadership and supervision in one or more of the following areas: column, calibration plate and instrument manufacturing.
- Coach technicians in formulate bulk reagent and instrument manufacturing
- Coordinate department activities and lean projects. Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Coordinate department activities and projects to ensure quality, production quantity are met according to targets set. Schedule and manage resources, track and report results, train employees, and implement process improvements.
- Writing and revising of Standard Operating procedures (SOPs), work instruction and forms. Responsible for timely work orders closure, reviewing Device History Record (DHR)/ Batch records,
- Ensure that systems, processes and procedures are in compliance with ISO9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, FDA QSR requirements and Good Documents Practices (GDP).
- Lead the continuous improvement efforts / Kaizen for optimized work flow. Evaluate department processes and recommend and coordinate needed changes based on process analysis.
- Responsible for staff scheduling to include: work assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, production scheduling, and maintain employees training records.
- Conduct interviews, hire new staff, and provide employee orientation. Coach and provide career development advice to staff. Establish employee goals and conduct Quarterly Employee Performance Dialogues
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance on equipment used for manufacturing to ensure that stoppages are minimized.
- Maintain communication with other supervisors and Managers and to serve on committees and teams as department representative.
