In order to be successful for this role, the candidate must possess the following competencies and experience:

• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Media, Television, Film, Educational Media, or a related field
• Strength/interest in Mathematics would be an added advantage.
• Comfort and competence in using a range of consumer and professional video cameras and audio recording technology
• Experience in using video post-production, print, and graphic design software including but not limited to Adobe Creative Cloud (Premier Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Experience in collaborating with University instructors in the production of flipped-classroom, blended learning, and documentary-style educational media will be advantageous
• Able to establish collaborative working relations with academic program faculty to plan educational media productions tailored to an audience of the institute’s learners
• Self-motivated to seek out and establish working relations with instructional staff who are willing to experiment with established and emerging forms of IT-Enhanced Learning
• An optimistic attitude suited to a challenging and dynamic working environment with tight deadlines is essential

The roles and responsibilities of this role include:

• Works in partnership with the CoLEAD Learning Designers to collaborate with academic staff in the production of educational media content for on-line, in-class, and public delivery
• Collaborates and assists academic staff through the conceptualization, planning, production, and delivery of print, audio/video, graphics design, multimedia, and on-line educational media
• Records and edits educational content
• Designs, posts, and maintains a showcase of approaches to IT-Enhanced Learning aimed at publicly sharing the institution’s best practices and inspiring others to adopt and develop new effective approaches to instruction
• Monitors and evaluates advances in educational media production to help keep the institute’s practices of production on par with emerging international standards
