Our client is looking for an Assistant Manager (Alumni Relations, Academic Affairs) to join their esteemed organization.

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
- A Degree with a minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience in planning and executing a wide range of events locally as well as internationally.
- Preferred with experience working in alumni relations, event management, external or international relations, career services and/or marketing/communications in a higher education institution.
- Excellent writing abilities and effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Skilled at planning, organising, multitasking and project management, with a strong customer-orientation.
- A "people-person", a natural "connector", pro-active, tactful and a team player.
- Good IT skills, proficient with MS Office applications.
- Experience managing social media including LinkedIn, and familiarity with CRM systems would be advantageous.

ResponsibiliTies |
The overall responsibilities of this role include:
- To manage the alumni engagement and liaison activities of the school.
- Initiate, conceptualise, plan, organise, manage and execute alumni events and activities to increase alumni engagement and cultivation.
- Plan and implement effective strategies to communicate effectively with alumni, through traditional and social media as well as other innovative platforms, leading to enhanced relationships and stronger connection between alumni and the School.
- Establish, develop and maintain positive relationships with students and alumni.
- Maintain an accurate database of alumni records and information for regular analyses, networking and outreach activities. Note: our alumni are widely spread across many geographical locations and different cultural settings.
- Conduct regular reviews and surveys of alumni programs and activities, evaluate their effectiveness and propose enhancements.
- Collaborate with other teams and departments to collect information for ad-hoc alumni initiatives, including student recruitment and engagement agenda.
- Manage the setting up of new alumni groups/chapters, maintain strong relationships with current alumni groups/chapters and provide support for their activities.
- Provide stewardship to ensure that the full range of benefits and services are available to the alumni.
- Other duties as assigned.
