Our client is looking for a Manager, Advancement & Alumni Division to join their esteemed organization.

In order to be successful for this role, the candidate must possess the follow competencies and experience:

  • University Degree or tertiary related equivalent with at least 6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community.
  • Ability to work as a team member among multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to work with alumni  databases, spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of marketing, public relations and event planning methods and techniques.
  • Energetic individual who can set priorities as well as work independently; strong project management skills and attention to detail.

 

 
ResponsibiliTies

The overall responsibilities of this role include:

  • Responsible for planning and overseeing alumni outreach programmes to foster strong and enduring ties between the university and its alumni, and among alumni and students. Under limited supervision, the Manager will work together with the alumni team to promote and encourage communication between the university and it’s alumni/alumni-in-waiting, as well as ensure timeliness, efficiency and accuracy in the daily operations of our alumni outreach programmes.
  • Plan, oversee events and programmes to continually engage alumni/alumni-in-waiting (these include reunions, networking events, as well as professional development, leisure and sports activities).
  • Analyse effectiveness of these programmes and events; recommend improvements or new creative strategies.
  • Collaborate with other Divisions to achieve Advancement & Alumni Division’s objectives.
  • Built, manage pool of alumni, student volunteers and leaders.
  • Plan and manage alumni communication.
  • Oversee the accuracy, integrity and currency of the alumni database; maintain records and files as needed.
