Competencies
  • Degree in Science or Engineering in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or equivalent

  • 2-5 years of relevant working experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical or petrochemical industry.

  • Hands-on experience in day to day operation and maintenance essential

  • In-depth knowledge in Ultrapure Water Treatment systems Or Wastewater Treatment System

  • Gas or Chemical Distribution systems

  • Ability to supervise improvement projects for the above

  • Proficient in Microsoft business applications

  • Team leader experience at or within Section level is desirable

  • Supervisory and coaching skills

 
ResponsibiliTies
  • To provide facilities support pertaining to Gas and Chemical Distribution systems, Ultrapure Water and Wastewater systems so as to ensure continuous supply of utilities and related facilities at the required performance level or specifications

  • Formulate, implement, review and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs for systems in charge so as to ensure that the systems function as intended at all times

  • Carry out repair and troubleshooting of systems in order to restore systems to their operating conditions in the shortest possible time. Carry out root cause analysis and implement action plans to prevent recurrence

  • Able to formulate effective reporting and tracking systems for monitoring of system performance and capacity usage. Recommend and implement improvement/enhancement projects where appropriate

  • Formulate, implement, review and improve operating procedures so as to ensure optimum operation of systems

  • Monitor and review utility consumptions and work with users to implement projects to reduce the consumption where possible

  • Familiar with all relevant standards, legislations, codes of practice etc and ensure their compliance

  • Provide guidance and training on the systems in charge to fellow colleagues so as ensure adequate working knowledge and system backup

  • Ensure plant histories, drawings, data and other appropriate documentations are being generated and properly filed for future reference and review

  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate spares, consumables and other resources necessary for the day-to-day operation of the systems

  • Conduct project supervisions

  • Ensure that all quality expectations are up held to meet better than expected customer request

  • Create and innovate new process for continuous improvement to current processes to attain best in class quality and cost

  • Ensure all site safety compliance are met as part of daily responsibility

  • Continuously seek to enhance on existing safety procedures for continuous improvement

  • Lead in technical understanding of specific process.

  • Provide leadership in trouble shooting of any process inadequacy

 
Experience
