BS in Engineering with minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design

Advanced knowledge of industrial standards (such as API 6A, 17D, NACE, etc.)

Significant knowledge of multiple Company products.(for internal hires)

Significant knowledge of drilling sequence & wellhead equipment. (for external hires)

Three to five year’s design drafting software experience (Microstation or Unigraphics preferred)

Detailed knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, and testing.

Able to demonstrate design-cost consciousness (cost, profit, impact of decisions).

Has prior experience of guiding and mentoring junior staff.

Self-motivated individual with good communication skills.

Good team player with ability to work with people from different level.

Fluent in written and spoken English.

Independently develops solutions to non-recurring problems by analyzing, interpreting and evaluating various precedents and data.

Anticipates potential problems and takes preventative actions.

Provide technical support to manufacturing, QC, assembly and testing activities.

Investigate non-conformances and provide technical disposition.

Identify root cause of any technical problems and propose solutions to ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.

Develops alternative solutions and communicates associated benefits and risks.

Participates in product standardization projects.

Responsible for quality and on-time-delivery of assigned tasks.

Demonstrate good personal time management thru assigned projects and tasks.

Understand and comply with Company HSE & Quality policies.

Visibly show commitment to HSE & Quality through participation in safety and quality initiatives.

Occasional travel to field site or customer site with product related issues.

Review engineering drawings, part report, design documentations, and test reports for accuracy & soundness of judgment.

Functions as a project lead and significant contributor to the assigned project, provide project status report to Technical managers on a weekly basis.

Leads one or more engineers or drafter on a project basis, ensuring the engineering output meets the customer requirements, with on-time completion.

Lead discussion & display technical leadership in design reviews.

Application of engineering laws, principles, and industry knowledge in the improvement & development of technologies, as and when applicable.

Develop innovative solutions for complex technical problems that may include conceptualization of new designs over established designs, with consideration of risks, benefit, and impact on current state.

Demonstrates some degree of leadership

Review / approve disposition of Quality Notification (QN) and Field Non-Conformance Report (FNCR). Perform root cause analysis to prevent future reoccurrence.

Provide technical support to the machine shop, and Assembly & Testing

Provide technical support to field service related issue

Conduct technical presentations to other job functions or customers.
